Exibition Review: Restless Times- Unnamed Piece.

Untitled piece from ‘The Restless Times.’
This piece had no description, so my own interpretation would be as follows:
It represents members of goverment, or someone high up in the political chain, with a gas mask to represent some sort of self inflicted mahem which the high ‘authoirty’ always seem to inflict upon them selves.
Using such colours as it does, could control that the problem is nothing major, and yet they’re using such defense as a gas mask, to keep themselves, but no one else away from any sort of danger, that being no one else is in the picture with him. Using a none detailed mask or drawing the mask, maybe recognizing a simple minded thought towards the ‘high authoritied’ person wearing the mask. Having a huge mouth piece of the gas mask representing they have big mouths, maybe not literally but in sarcasm terms, when yet in real life, a gas masks mouth peice is no bigger than what an actual mouth is.

Layouts & Designs.

CD, DVD & Poster layouts.
Here is another, more ‘upgraded/ professional’ whichever you wish to call it, which I decided to create of ‘Three Kings.’

Layouts & Designs.

CD, DVD, Poster layouts.
I decided to do a little research on CD, DVD & poster layouts as I recently realized it really interlinks with what i’m currently studying at college.
So after looking into a variety of basic/ standard layouts before detailed & other placements and fixtures are put into context, i decided to ‘have a go’ at creating a layout for one of my most listened to, well known albums, which is around a year recent, and this is my fully finished practice & first go.

Own opinion:
This course looks, & sounds really amazing if i’m honest. Really sounds like a perfectly labelled course on the interest of what i’m proceeding to do. Amazingly, the course requirements are, i think, highly achievable for myself in my point of view, which is a big thumbs up for myself also. Throughout the course, the material & industry you learn about & actually practice doing, seems essential to me, because it sounds just the right thing i want to do later on in life.

Blog Review: Fuck Yeah Typography.

 http://www.fuckyeahtypography.tumblr.com - F**k Yeah Typography!; Typography lover.
Content & Layout:
This an example of a perfect blog to me. It may not be a ‘personal work’ blog, but its a collaboration of pure perfection. Every blog is a picture which is fine in my opinion, because from this you can click on the picture & trace the original creator of the piece to find out more about it.. The layout, with the large picture which is past eye- catching, and then the information about when the ‘Typography lovers’ posted this, or re-posted this, which also looks like its coming off of the page, which to me, looks awesome, because there’s so many little things (like so) which you can tweak your blog to look so much better than standard sets. You can easily interact with the blogger & also easily navigate your way through the blog.
Design & Posted material:
All the posted stuff is again re-blogged or re-posted via artists or other bloggers. So not really much style of which the blogger sticks with, just generally stick & posted anything to do with typography.

Blog Review: Drawn & Quarter.T Joout.

Design & Content:
Again, a simple layout. At first I was attracted to this blog mainly because of the layout, more than likely because its just, totally not your average everyday blog.. You have to actually click on the picture you want to know more about & it will jump to that post with the date, time, information, where it came from, who submitted it.. Basically everything you will want to & also need to know about this particular picture. However, after viewing the blog a couple of times it really started to wear out on me.. It just seems really lazy & boring with not effort into finding/ coding a theme or layout to sort their work.
There is hardly any information on the Blogger himself also, which is dissapointing because just because this in particular guy posts other pieces of work from other bloggers/ artist, doesn’t mean we want to know anything about this guy.. Again, any info that is up on the blog is hard to see due to the careless use of contrasts of colours.
Layout & Posted material:
His work is professionally enough presented for my own liking, but not necessarily professionally enough for everyone, maybe if the guy cramped his work together just a little bit more then it would have been perfect for my own liking.
His work he posts on the other hand is absolutely incredible. So unique & different to what I’ve ever seen before. And theres also not mot much to his work, which really works out well in this case.
